Synopsis: Hito Hitori Futari

The soul perseveres after the body passes on, with many entities progressing towards enlightenment through spiritual realms. They strive to better their spiritual well-being, with some being reborn into the physical world, whilst others protect the living as guardian spirits. These spirits' primary role is shielding their assigned souls from malevolent forces from the underworld. Riyon was a laid-back spirit who often neglected her spiritual teachings. In an effort to perfect her training, she is chosen to become a guardian spirit tasked with the protection of a distraught man named Kasuga Soichiro - the Prime Minister of Japan during the last eighteen months of his life. After a close encounter with death, Kasuga gains the ability to perceive Riyon. Together, can they succeed in safeguarding Kasuga's depleted soul?
