Synopsis: Kakeru

Every time Daiba Kakeru hit the pavement for a run, he felt transported to another plane of existence. The intense physical exertion would trigger a euphoric runner's high that sharpened his senses to a remarkable degree. His eyes, ears, and sense of touch became finely tuned, enabling him to detect the slightest details, pinpoint far-off sounds, and react with lightning-fast reflexes. Despite nursing a secret crush on his classmate Natsume for months, he found the nerve to confess his feelings one night. However, he was stunned to discover that she went missing from her home. With his exceptional observational abilities, Kakeru picked up on subtle clues pointing to her recent abduction. Driven by his love for Natsume, he banded together with the brilliant science teacher Nezu Michiko to utilize his superhuman senses to track down Natsume.
