Synopsis: Katabami to Ougon
During the Great Famine in Ireland in 1849, numerous individuals perished due to the potato blight, including Amelia, a frail 14-year-old, and her servant Connor. The two were unable to pay their rent and consequently lost their land, forcing them to live as vagrants. At the same time, the Gold Rush in California presented a promising opportunity for wealth. In search of a better life without hardship, Amelia and Connor set off on a venture to America, leaving behind their past and relying on faith and aspirations to navigate their course. Katabami to Ougon chronicles the journey of these two refugees.
